CEO & Founder

Bettine Ortmann

​​Bettine has a background in marketing, branding, trendspotting, and innovation.

She has founded several companies and projects, and for a number of years ran a business within Digital Tech Solutions. In 2018, she founded TrendTribe, focusing on retail, brand, and concept development based on real customer insights and trends.

 

Since 2023, she has been researching how brands can take on a new role as platforms for change, and in Spring 2025, she launched the innovation tool “The Brand Value Circles”, aimed at companies and brands that want to reinvent themselves in a more circular and sustainable direction through business development and innovation.

 

Bettine is an experienced speaker and is happy to share her knowledge and experience through inspirational talks, teaching and mentoring.

Business Developer

Emilie Them Jensen-Agerkilde

With a background in Design Culture and a Master’s in Design Management, Emilie works at the intersection of business, creativity, and human connection. At FutureTribe, she helps build partnerships, shape ideas, and turn insights into strategy – always with a focus on meaningful growth and lasting value.​


She brings both research and hands-on experience from retail, marketing, communication, and concept development, with projects ranging from consumer behavior studies to analyses of transparency in retail communication. Drawing on years in start-up environments and work within showroom design, Emilie connects strategy and execution to help brands grow through innovative ideas that can scale into sustainable impact.

Line Haugaard

Line brings commercial life to meaningful ideas - turning ambition into action.​

With a strong background in market strategy, sustainable innovation and business development, she complements creative and branding-led approaches with a sharp eye for execution, impact and growth.​ 

​

She has supported more than 100 companies and initiatives within foodtech, biosolutions and circular business models, always with a clear focus on bringing ideas to market through the right mix of partnerships, funding and execution.​ Her experience spans private, public and ecosystem-driven organisations,  from large-scale consultancy and Nordic FMCG clients at NIQ to programme design, funding and implementation in startup and scaleup environments.

At FutureTribe, Line contributes with her expertise in business models, commercial clarity and sustainable go-to-market - helping visionary concepts grow into real change.

Emma Damgaard Williams

Emma brings clarity and momentum to growing brands, always focusing on turning direction into decisions and ideas into action.

With a background in branding, cultural insight, and strategic development, she bridges a strong focus on execution, alignment and growth.

She has worked across startups, scale-ups and purpose-driven organisations, supporting teams in translating complex ideas into clear positioning, activations, and experiences that resonate in the real world. Her experience spans brand development, market expansion, and communication strategy, often working closely with founders and teams during critical phases of development.

 

At FutureTribe, Emma contributes with her expertise in brand as a growth lever - helping organisations connect insight, strategy and activation to build relevance, trust and long-term impact.

What is a Knowledge Partner?

Are you curious about innovation, sustainability and eager to share your insights and knowledge? We would love to expand our Tribe with diverse professionals who can inspire and learn from each other, and be part of our extended competence network. As a Knowledge Partner, you may also be involved in relevant upcoming projects that promote sustainable innovation. In addition, you’ll be invited to our quarterly networking events and inspirational tours.

Co-creating for Development

As a Knowledge Partner, you get free access to all the tools in the Brand Value Circles toolkit, consisting of 3 main canvases, 12 in-depth canvases, and instructional videos for inspiration. The toolbox is in constant development and as a Knowledge Partner and user of our tools, you are invited to co-create and help improve how we work to foster sustainable innovation and brand building in the future.

We offer co-lab sessions and help connect you with relevant Dreamholders to support the advancement of your own projects within sustainability.

Share your insights

As a Knowledge Partner, you commit to sharing at least two insights or inspiring cases each year with our community.

These can cover areas such as circular innovation, trends, customer expectations, or new developments in sustainability (more contributions are always welcome). We don’t expect long reports. Your contributions could simply be inspirational observations, thought-provoking questions that spark conversations or curiosity, or hints of new knowledge and stories worth sharing.

Our Heritage and Commitment

 

The company was originally founded in 2018 as TrendTribe but changed its name in 2025 to mark a shift towards a more sustainable approach to the future of branding and marketing. The new name reflects our focus on helping companies avoid greenwashing by taking real strategic action and communicating with evidence rather than empty green claims. To live up to our commitment and promise of helping companies and brands navigate the green transition and turn sustainability into good business, our founder, Bettine Ortmann, dedicated two years to complete a Master in Sustainable Leadership at DTU. This means we can now offer deeper knowledge, experience and insight, not only in brand and business development, but also in sustainable strategies and innovation tools.

We lead the process from initial insights and resource optimization - navigating trends and impact ambitions, to embrace and engage partnerships and stakeholders, turning them into participants and dreamholders engaging for impact.

Our work is grounded in the Brand Value Circles toolkit, a comprehensive, sustainability-aligned framework created as a spin-off from Bettine Ortmann’s Executive Master in Sustainable Leadership from DTU. The Brand Value Circles is an A-to-Z innovation process designed to support the development of "true Sustainable Brands" - brands that take sustainability beyond compliance, lead the way in the Circular Economy, to engage and activate their customers in the transition.
